Turn Notes into Events
Type naturally. Caliq extracts the event details and lets you confirm before saving.

Conflict Detection
If the new event overlaps with something on your calendar, Caliq highlights it so you can adjust early.

Works Offline
Core features run on device. Online parsing is optional and can be turned off.

Built for Privacy
No ads, no tracking, no data fingerprinting or brokering.

Quick tip: If something looks wrong, force quit the app and reopen it. If the issue persists, email me with the details below.

Frequently asked questions

Does Caliq require an account?

No. There is no Caliq account system.

Does Caliq track me or show ads?

No. Caliq has no ads, no tracking, and no data fingerprinting.

Why do you ask for Calendar permission?

Caliq uses Apple calendar frameworks to read existing events (for conflict detection and context) and to create new events when you approve them.

Can I use Caliq offline?

Yes. Core features like local event parsing, conflict detection, and calendar access work completely offline. Online parsing is an optional feature.

Which calendars does Caliq support?

Caliq works with any calendar accessible through Apple's EventKit framework, including iCloud Calendar, Google Calendar (when synced to iOS), Exchange, and other calendars added to your device.

Troubleshooting

iCloud sync issues

If sync isn't working across your devices, check:

  • You're signed into the same Apple ID on all devices
  • iCloud Drive is enabled for each device
  • Caliq has permission to use iCloud (iOS Settings → Caliq)
  • You have a stable internet connection for the initial sync
  • You have an active paid subscription (Personal or Pro)

If sync appears stuck, try toggling iCloud for Caliq off and on in iOS Settings, then reopen the app.

Calendar access problems

If Caliq cannot read or create events:

  • Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars and ensure Caliq is enabled
  • Force quit Caliq and reopen it after changing permissions
  • Verify the selected calendar is not read-only

Widget not updating

If your widgets aren't refreshing:

  • Open Caliq at least once (widgets need one app launch after install or updates)
  • Remove the widget from your home screen and add it again
  • Restart your device if the widget timeline seems frozen

Online parsing

Online parsing is an optional feature. When enabled, your typed prompt is sent to Caliq's relay server and then to an external language model provider to extract event details. This feature requires an internet connection and an active Pro subscription.

If online parsing fails

  • Check your internet connection
  • Try a shorter prompt with just one event
  • Verify you have an active Pro subscription
  • If errors persist, email me with the approximate time and error message

You can always fall back to local parsing, which works completely offline without requiring any connectivity.

Subscriptions and purchases

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through In-App Purchase. You can manage your subscription at:

Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions

Purchase not showing in the app?

Look for "Restore Purchases" in Caliq's subscription screen and tap it. Wait a few seconds for the status to update. If it still doesn't work, make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used to purchase.

Free trial information

Caliq offers a free trial period for the Professional tier. The trial automatically converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends. You can cancel anytime through your Apple Account settings.

Privacy

Caliq is built with privacy as a core principle. No ads, no tracking, no data fingerprinting. Most content stays on your device, and online parsing is completely opt-in.

For complete details about how your data is handled, read the full Privacy Policy.
